Autumn, autumn

Autumn leaves and back in reality. Everything was new and exiting during the trip we made this summer. And when we arrived we jumped into something new again. There was no home waiting yet when we came, and the city was new, although almost everybody, including me, knew the centre of the city. Yes, the city is Helsinki. A couple of years ago I never thought I would live here and yet here I am. So, I got to study again and it feels pretty good, stressful it is, though, time to time..

Something Yellow and Green

Some details at home. And my basil finally started growing for real! But I think it hasn't time to grow enough that I could use it in any food :(

I'm so happy about being accepted for Master studies next autumn! I'm also quite exited about moving to Helsinki. But first things first, at the moment I'm more exited about the roadtrip - which starts in less than 4 weeks :)

Easter

This Easter I went to see one of the local fires on Saturday evening. It was kind of windy, so the fire spread to the near environment, for example to a tree nearby pictured below. Also the fire department arrived but fortunately they didn't need to act. 

Rest of the Easter I have been in bed suffering a spring flue, drinking a lot of tee and watched old Desperate Housewives. The pictures above presents some Easter details here at home. 

Spring, spring

This was a nice Spring day like today, but probably you cannot really tell from the pictures though. I prefer photographing in black and white especially when the coloring of surroundings are a bit boring. And many times pictures are more interesting and clearer in b&w.

Cannot believe, on Wednesday it is only 2 months (!) till we fly to New York and the adventure begins. I'm sooo exited and have been planning a lot of activities and researched which places would be worth visiting. Yes, after NY we are going to drive through the whole country ;) I have dreamt of road tripping in the US for many years. More exactly, the cravings begun kind of exactly 4 years ago when I and two friends visited another friend in the US. I just loved the country, not that I would like living there but traveling there every now and then. I'm sure I will start a new blog for that, which will function as a diary for me and for my family and friends and probably for the rest of the world to follow.

I have been very quiet about this blog to anyone, only a few people know this is my blog. So it's interesting to see from where (which part of the world) people have visited the blog. The purpose is more like having a place to put photos, maybe write sometimes about something, if I'm up to it, that I wouldn't forget how to write in English (I think I cannot really brag about my skills, but it's fun).

Now I think I will watch some TV-series and later I will attend to a housewarming party :) Happy Saturday!

I should go outside taking a walk, maybe go visiting my parents. I just don't really have the urge to go among all that snow. I got so used to the early spring and warmth so now I feel very disappointed.

Yesterday I finally got to send the university application to University of Helsinki. Now I just have to wait for middle of May to hear the result. I took a year off since I graduated from Stockholm University with a Bachelor degree in chemistry, and that I will continue with. Funny that I thought whole last year that I should change to Pharmacy studies, think I had some kind of a graduating crisis, and now I want to continue with chemistry. Maybe I just have hard time wanting to specialize in anything since I'm interested in so many things that it is hard to choose. This past year I have been analyzing which specialization I would be most interested in and which courses and laboratory work I liked most before graduating. Now I'm pretty sure organic chemistry is the thing.

I guess nobody was really interested in that.. but whatever :D
